Welcome to R&D Heli-Cam R&D Heli-Cam was an aerial photography company that used a Remote-Piloted Vehicle to obtain high quality, low-altitude 35mm stills and digital video images. The compact size of our RPV allowed us to capture images in areas where a full-sized aircraft could not. We flew from ground level to 400'...anywhere...from industrial parks to residential areas. Additionally, the size of our RPV allowed us to charge considerably less for our services than those companies that used a full-sized aircraft. We, at R&D Heli-Cam created exciting aerial photos with new and refreshing perspectives because of our ability to capture stills and video images from a lower-than-usual altitude, and from a closer-than-usual distance. Unfortunately, the events that took place on September 11, 2001 led our insurance company to, "refrain from ever again insuring anything that flies". Since that time, we have endeavored to obtain flight liability insurance through other agencies. To date, we have not been successful in locating anyone interested in insuring RPVs. Although we have been "out of business" for some time now, the resurrection of this web site finally gives us an opportunity to officially inform everyone we are no longer available to assist in the area of aerial photography. We would like to thank everyone for your great support and for allowing us to take some really great aerial photographs. We shall miss working with, and for, everyone we got to meet in the short time we were together. While those behind the events of 9/11 did hurt R&D Heli-Cam, we were in no way harmed to the degree that the victims and their families were. Please join us in remembering all those who suffered on that September day. In addition, please support our country, our President and our Armed Forces.
